The TINCAN Magazine is a perpetual container for the distribution or storage of culture, art, and its creators.
Music is a sensitive instrument, which allows people to communicate with the world and share their vision. It results from the author’s deep passion, a need to express feelings through sounds, a unique view of the surrounding reality. It can be spontaneous, but it can also be a conscious and deliberate manifesto. The TINCAN Magazine is continually searching for music born out of passion – your passion.
The TINCAN Magazine Music Awards is open to anyone, amateurs, and professionals alike. Entries are welcome from any country in the world.
The competition is open to all genres of music.
There is no time or date restriction on when the music was produced.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR WORK
One simple and smooth way to submit to our competition is FilmFreeway. It is a platform mostly focused on Film Festivals, but they also accept music contests, and live events of many genres. The platform is great, both for submitters and event managers and it is also an excellent judging platform for the international judges.
After you create an account, go to add project, select “Music/Songwriting”, and fill in the requested information. Each submission must come with:
– a title
– an artist/band name
– at least one picture (artwork or artist headshot)
– an artist biography, at least 3 lines.
– a country of origin.
Judges score on a scale of 1-10, based on the criteria below:
*Composition – Special attention should be paid to the crafting of the piece of music. To what degree can the composition be considered to have achieved excellence? Focus should be on melody, harmony, and structure (where relevant).
*Originality – To what degree has the composer achieved originality in the composition? Can the piece be easily compared to others in the style? Does the writing feel in any way generic?
*Production standard – Special attention should be paid to the overall balance of the mix. To what degree has the mix achieved dynamic range, clarity, and cohesion? Has the piece been mixed to the correct levels, without unintended distortion or over compression?
Entries receiving an average score under 5 do not qualify for an award.
